Like nowhere else

Bohuslän is Swedens most western region. Its interesting history begins around 5500 BC and since then it has been both Norwegain and Danish.

Since the Treaty of Roskilde in 1658 Bohuslän belongs to Sweden. For centruies it has been famous for its fishing industry, particularly for the herring. And still today the fishing is an important part of the region´s economy, but maybe more so for its history and culture. The coast is dotted with tiny fishing villages where time seems to have stood still.

Export

Bohuslän has recently turned in to a growing international destination, attracting visitors from all over the world. The archipelago is unique. And it is from the sea that he local chefs get their finest products, turning them into culinary wonders. Are you interested in experiencing Bohuslän from the sea? Join a local fisherman on his boat, catch your own lobster and cook and enjoy it together on the boat - incredible!
